Darryl West, President
10290 Tuscany Hills Way NW
Calgary, Alberta T3L 2G5
Phone: (403) 370-5437
E-mail: darryl.west@evergreen-eti.com
Evergreen has developed a methanol fuel cell power-generating system targeted at the upstream oil and gas industry in Western Canada. Evergreen’s Power Pod unit is designed to provide year-round reliable power and supplement solar power in remote northern locations. Evergreen is working with clients to convert pneumatic (GHG venting) off-grid well sites to clean electric devices. Other potential markets for clean, off grid powers sources include SCADA, communication systems, chemical injection pumps, and security / surveillance. Partial government funding via the CCEMC has allowed Evergreen to launch field trials with a number of Oil & Gas companies, and commercial operations are also underway at this time.
Darryl is the founder and President of this two person company. He is a professional engineer with over 20 years of experience designing and supervising construction of upstream oil and gas well site production facilities in Alberta. During this time period Darryl noted that most facilities were fitted with pneumatically operated - GHG venting systems and felt he could provide a more effective solution. Darryl took the opportunity to start Evergreen in 2009 and continues to educate the market about the benefits of converting to clean electric power.
